New South Wales Police Force Officer Dragged By Driver

A police officer has been dragged by a car, after trying to arrest a man during a random breath-test in Sydney’s south.

The 26-year-old driver was pulled over by two officers in Menai on Tuesday night; during the routine stop one of them spotted an ice-pipe in the centre console of the car and attempted to place him under arrest.

The driver accelerated and dragged one officer down the road, before he was able to grab the wheel and stop the car.

Three Officers Injured In Overturned Cruiser After Being Hit By Stolen Car

Three police officers are in hospital after a speeding stolen car crashed into them from behind and flipped both vehicles in Sydney’s east overnight. The three were sitting in their police car, with their seat belts strapped on, after performing random breath tests. Before officers could kick their windscreen out and climb from their upturned sedan, the two teenagers – one male, one female – scampered from the Mitsubishi Lancer and fled the crash scene at Anzac Pde, Matraville about 12.30am.

Seven Police Officers Injured At G7 Protest

Garmisch police said on Twitter that seven officers were injured when some protesters lobbed fire extinguishers and bottles and set up tents on roads blocked off for the protest. Two demonstrators were injured, said Georg Ismael, a spokesman for the protest organizers. Authorities will seek to avoid mayhem that erupted at the last such summit in Germany in 2007, when protesters breached barriers by land and sea, including thousands who ran through forests and fields to reach the venue’s eastern perimeter.

Three Lincolnshire Police Officers Injured At An Illegal Rave Party

Three police officers and a police dog have been injured after being attacked by about 200 people at an illegal rave in England’s east.

One of the officers is in a serious but not life-threatening condition after being called to the rave on Saturday night. Lincolnshire Police said all the injuries were caused by missiles thrown by the crowd. Read the full story on Sky News.

Stabbed QPS Officer Luke Weiks Defying The Odds, Determined To Return To Work

A Queensland Police Service officer stabbed in the neck while on duty in 2013 is one step closer to finally getting back on the beat. The officer was attacked during a walk-through of Townsville’s Santa Fe Gold nightclub in December 2013. Senior-Constable Luke Weiks recently marked a milestone when the 34-year-old started training for a position in communications within the police service. It’s not exactly where he wants to be but he acknowledges it’s a step in the right direction. “My time away from the frontline has only made me more determined to return to the job.”

Critical Incident Declared After New South Wales Police Officer Injured – Emerald Beach

A critical incident investigation has been launched after a police officer was injured during an operation in the state’s north yesterday.

During the operation, a 41-year-old police officer sustained a number of injuries after being struck by a police vehicle. He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A Critical Incident Team will now investigate all the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the actions of police.

A Coffs Harbour policeman remains in a stable condition after he was struck by a police vehicle this afternoonConscious and breathing, he was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus for treatment. He underwent surgery at around 6pm and remains in a stable condition. NSW Police Force Officer Injured During Police Pursuit Near Emerald Beach

A police officer is being treated in hospital after being injured during an operation in the state’s north. Around 1.30pm today (Saturday 23 May 2015), police attempted to stop a car which was travelling north on the Pacific Highway near Emerald Beach. Road spikes were deployed near Solitary Islands Way, and successfully stopped the vehicle police were pursuing. California Police Say Lafayette PD Officer Injured By Suspected Drunk Driver

A Lafayette police officer has been injured after being struck by a suspected drunk driver on his way out of the Flatirons Community Church parking lot.


Police were responding to a complaint from church officials on Saturday about a man who appeared to be intoxicated inside the church. When police reached him in the parking lot, Cmdr. Gene McCausey says the driver hit an officer and drove away.
