A full afternoon of police-style entertainment will be on show during the WA Police Expo at the Joondalup Police Academy. The public is invited to come along and see the biggest display of police resources in one location.

Report to Police, not Facebook

If it’s important enough to post on Facebook, then it’s important enough to report to police.

That’s the message from Bunbury Police officer in charge Peter Jenal and Bunbury Crime Stoppers Facebook page administrator Greg Garbelini.

With about 15,500 members, Bunbury Crime Stoppers was hailed by Mr Garbelini as a “community within a community” where concerned locals can post the sighting of crimes in the Bunbury region. 

But Mr Garbelini said the page was not associated with police and members should report directly to authorities…

Woman Who Allegedly Squirted Breast Milk At Police Officer Granted Bail

A West Australian woman who allegedly squirted breast milk at a police officer has been granted bail.

Erica Leeder, 26, from Calista in Perth’s south, was arrested on a warrant last week and taken to Rockingham police station.

It is alleged that while she was being strip-searched at the police station the 26-year-old grabbed her breast and squirted milk onto a female officer’s forehead, arms and clothing.

Overview of Western Australia Police Air Wing

WA Police is responsible for an area of 2.5 million square kilometres, 12500kms of coastline and for all policing and search and rescue in the state that has a population of over 2 million people.

Police Air Wing has two units based in WA with one covering the southern state and the other covering the northern state. Police Air Wing operates the following aircraft: BK117 (B2) Helicopter, AS365N3+ Helicopter, GA8 Airvan and two Pilatus PC12 fixed wing aircraft.

WA Police: Operation GOLD PLATE and DODO

Police officers across WA will be focusing their efforts on suburban shopping centres throughout April in an effort to reassure shoppers and business operators and deter offenders from committing high volume crimes.

Metro and Regional WA officers will be participating in two operations: Gold Plate and Dodo respectively, throughout April. The first publicly visible operations are occurring throughout today at major shopping centres across the metro region.
