Tassie Police Use Social Media To Track Down and Fine Dangerous Driver

Tasmania Police has used the power of social media to track down and fine a driver for dangerous behaviour. The video showed a vehicle travelling through a red light at the intersection of Main and Creek Roads, New Town, narrowly avoiding colliding with pedestrians.

New Tasmanian Gun Laws Target Weapon Theft, Allow Paintball

New gun laws strengthening storage requirements and toughening the maximum penalty for theft have been passed in Tasmania’s Upper House.

Upcoming changes to the Firearms Act 1996 will allow the operation of paintball ranges and for members of the public to participate in paintball activities on the approved ranges, but these changes are not yet law.
