Queensland Police Officer Rescued At Glasshouse Mountains

A rescue training exercise on a mountain in the Sunshine Coast hinterland has turned into a real helicopter rescue for one injured police officer.

SES volunteers and police were taking part in vertical rescue training on Mount Tibrogargan in the Glasshouse Mountains when an officer in his 50s fell about three metres, police said.

He was mostly unharmed except for a cut to the elbow and sore arm but because of the awkward position he’d fallen, a helicopter was sent to rescue the man.
