Happy 100th Birthday, NSW Police Force Inspector 2/C Bill Arndell

Assistant Commissioner John Hartley joined with the residents of ‘Christorphorous House’ at Hornsby in celebration of Bill’s birthday, which was on Wednesday 2 March.

Former Commander of the Traffic Services Bureau, Assistant Commissioner Bill Flemming also came along to acknowledge this important event, along with other retired police including Alex Pollock, Carl Cameron, and Paul Biscoe on behalf of the Retired Police Association.

The Police Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner had sent flowers on the day of Bill’s birthday, and Bill received a telephone call from Commissioner Scipione to personally wish him well.

Assistant Commissioner Hartley presented Bill with a glass plaque in honour of the day, and a Highway Patrol etched glass mug.

A fully restored Ford Falcon, an original Highway Patrol Car was also on display, as Bill would have remembered from back in the day, along with Traffic 228.
