They aren’t your ordinary beat cops, but what Mt Druitt-based police officers Monique Fitzgerald and Sarah Moore do bring to Seven’s My Kitchen Rules could make them a real force to be reckoned with in the returning reality TV competition.

What started as lunch time banter between the workmates and MKR fans, saw them stumble into a challenge these talented twosome have now taken in their uniform stride.

Fitzgerald, who works as a high school liaison officer on the frontline of youth crises like cyber bullying, only got through half the online application for the top-rating show when work commitments saw both women get on with their crucial day jobs and laugh off entering.

Then a casting executive from Seven, who clearly saw the potential in the police women, rang to encourage them to finish filling out the forms.
