A police officer has been kicked to the head multiple times while trying to move on a man from a Blue Mountains hotel.

A 48-year-old man has been accused of threatening police and later refusing to leave a hotel in Katoomba when asked just before midnight on Saturday.

“It’s further alleged the man assaulted the officers and kicked one of them in the head numerous times after a scuffle ensued,” police said.

The man has been charged with three counts of assaulting police, resisting police, two counts of intimidating police, failing to quit, failing to comply with a move-on notice and offensive language.
