Rumble – Everyone please meet ‘Faustus’ the Latin meaning is fortunate or lucky. Faustus is now under the protective wing of Matt Muletta who you all would remember more fondly as Police Dog Rumble’s Dad. Source: WA Police/FacebookA police officer who lost his much-loved police dog, Rumble, to illness has a new four-legged partner who also needed a second chance after his owner died.
Sen. Const. Mat Muletta has joined forces with Faustus – whose name means fortunate or lucky in Latin.
WA Police said Faustus was being trained as a working guard and tracking dog in Tasmania and was “excelling in everything asked of him” until his owner died unexpectedly.
“WA Police heard of his story and decided he may be exactly what we need,” a spokesman said. “While nobody expects him to fill Rumble’s paw prints, we hope in time they will be a formidable crime fighting duo as well.”
