Queensland Police Officer’s Leg Broken In Pub Arrest


A police officer has suffered a broken leg trying to arrest a man at a central Queensland pub.

Police were called to a licensed premises in Bagara, east of Bundaberg, around 10pm on Wednesday to reports of a disorderly customer.

They say a 44-year-old man became aggressive when they tried to arrest him, with a struggle breaking out between him and one officer.

The Elliot Heads man will face five charges including grievous bodily harm at Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.
