Queensland Police Commend Good Behaviour of Protesters In Brisbane

Over 650 protesters attended a rally and counter-protest in Emma Miller Place, Brisbane City from around 10am today surrounding the Reclaim Australia movement.

Police supported the attendees right to peaceful protest, with over 100 police being deployed as part of a planned response to ensure the safety of all those involved.

A 64-year-old man was detained during the course of the protest in relation to an offence of public nuisance.

He has been bailed to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates court in response to the charge in coming weeks.

Police have commended the general behaviour of the crowd in attendance.
