Queensland ‘Cop Biter’ To Be Tested for Diseases

A man who allegedly bit a police officer and assaulted two others while resisting arrest has been ordered to undergo a disease test.

Magistrates Court on Friday morning charged the man with three counts of seriously assaulting a police officer and one count each of trespass and possessing a knife in public.

It’s alleged Mr Ryke assaulted the officers on Thursday night after being told to move on from the grounds of an inner-city church, where he’d been preparing to sleep rough.

A male officer was bitten on the arm and another struck on the body, while a female officer was hit in the face.
