Best Quality Healthy Meals Served To Prisoners Held By Victoria Police

Wholegrain bread, fresh fruit and reduced-fat dairy are part of a healthy menu aimed at keeping police prisoners in tip-top shape.

Tender documents have revealed the low-fat, low-salt fare on offer for about 40,000 people held in police detention each year.

Food quality guidelines — stipulating what must be served for the next three years — state prisoner meals “shall be the best quality of their kind”.
